Two Team Utmost competitors manage top-20 finishes
A selection of the Isle of Man's up-and-coming prospects in cycling showcased grit and determination during national road series action at the weekend.
Seven local competitors - five male and two female - formed the Team Utmost-Mezzo IoM squad to contest the 105km junior men's and women's CiCLE Classic in Melton Mowbray on Sunday (17 March).
The junior men's contest saw both Ivan Sorby and Cian Howard secure top-20 finishes in 12th and 16th respectively with Orry Lund not far behind in 23rd spot and William Curphey finishing the contest in 44th.
Elsewhere, Florence Griffin and Sophie Smith represented the Island squad in the women's race with Smith the highest finisher of the duo in 47th.
Fellow Isle of Man competitor Ruby Oakes - competing for the Shibden Apex RT team - produced a strong display to finish 28th.
