Dot Tilbury MBE says many have excelled again here and further afield
There's been plenty more successes across the board for the Isle of Man this year in youth and junior cycling.
That's according to one of the key figures in the sport on Island after 422 competitors took part in Team RL360's club cycling sessions in 2025 with an average of 186 at each meeting.
Further afield, Manx talent in the sport also featured in 15 off-Island events, including eight rounds of the British National Series as well as appearances on the British National Championships and European Assen Youth Tour.
Away from the racing, Dot Tilbury MBE says the opening of the Sir Mark Cavendish Raceway at the NSC in Douglas in June with the 'Manx Missile' himself in attendance was a particularly special occasion:
Multiple young Island riders excelled across a range of different age groups and competitions during the most recent cycling season.
Among the highlights, Cameron Hounsell claimed keirin gold in the National Youth & Junior Track Championships whilst he along with Abi Clayton, Tommy Bass and Ciaran Grimshaw all won their age groups in the North West Youth Championships in Preston.
Elsewhere, Clayton finished second overall in the Under-16 girls category in the British series whilst Daniel Minay was third overall in the Under-16 boys.
In their respective age groups in the North West League, Clayton, Minay and Grimshaw won their categories whilst there were top-three overall finishes elsewhere for the likes of Thomas Hutchinson, Xenia Munoz-Fite, Jenson Baglow, Austin Baglow and Beatrice Brook.
