Manx competitor takes bronze in women's road race
Manx cyclist Ruby Oakes has bagged a second medal for herself and Team Isle of Man at the 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games this afternoon.
Competing in the women's road race this afternoon, Oakes finished third in a time of one hour 32 minutes and 47 seconds, just a split second ahead of Jessie Munton of South Africa and Lowri Richards of Wales.
Gold went to Australia's Keira Will with Lauren Bates, also of Australia, taking silver.
It comes after Oakes also took bronze in the women's time trial over the weekend.
Fellow Isle of Man cyclist, Tyler Annis will compete in the men's road race from 6pm tonight.
Manx swimmers Magnus Kelly, Ella Justice and Connor Mealin are also competing in the swimming heats this afternoon and this evening.
