Manxman impresses in Chile over the weekend
Isle of Man pro cyclist, Matthew Bostock secured a top-ten finish in the men's omnium during his final action at the 2025 UCI Track World Cycling Championships.
Representing Great Britain, the Manx competitor went on to finish the event seventh overall following four rounds of racing in Santiago, Chile on Saturday, 25 October.
The opening scratch race saw him finish 12th before he improved again to cross the line tenth in the following tempo race.
The improvements kept coming throughout the day as he managed his best placing of the day in sixth in the penultimate race of the event - the elimination race - before a similar performance in the fourth and final outing - the points race - where he finished seventh.
Bostock's total points haul across the day of 116 saw him place well inside the overall top ten and 17 points behind eventual men's omnium winner, Albert Torres Barcelo of Spain (133).
Completing the top three were Japan's Kazushige Kuboki and Lindsay de Vylder of Belgium who both secured 131 points.
Elsewhere during the championships, Bostock had also represented GB in the Men's Team Pursuit on Wednesday, 22 October.
During that competition, he along with teammates Josh Charlton, Charlie Tanfield and William Tidball successfully qualified before defeat in the first round to Australia.
