Work with young cyclists earns Local Hero prize
Playing an instrumental role in developing young Manx cyclists has seen Dot Tilbury named local hero at Cycling Weekly's annual awards.
At a ceremony in London last night, her work organising trips for young riders to compete in the UK and running events locally over the last two decades was recognised.
Cycling Weekly described her work as priceless, and praised the part she played early in the careers of Mark Cavendish, Peter Kennaugh and Mark Christian.
