Kamil Holan became the first competitor from the Czech Republic to win a Manx Grand Prix on Saturday evening.
The 33 year-old from Prague was a clear winner of the Steam Packet Newcomers A race over three laps.
He finished 13.6 seconds ahead of Andrew Soar.
Island resident Dean Roberts was third.
Ramsey man Andrew Dudgeon, 24, won the inaugural Newcomers B supertwins race.
A recipient of the Olive Bullock Sponsorship, Dudgeon ensured a home win for the Martin Bullock team.
He was thrilled with the support on a mist-filled last lap.
Gary Gittins, 59 seconds behind, was the runner-up and Colin Stephenson completed the podium.
James Cowton stamped his authority on the Newcomers C lightweight race from start to finish, a clear winner ahead of the Belgian Renzo van der Donckt and England’s Ben Palmer.
Cowton also received the Wayne Hamilton Trophy for his success, in memory of Hamilton – last year’s Newcomers A winner.
