Reigning Senior champion sitting out 2026 event through injury
Reigning Senior TT champion, Davey Todd says he remains 'a little bit of time away' from a return to racing fitness.
The three-time winner here was declared medically unfit to take part in the 2026 racing fortnight after a crash at the Daytona 200 in the USA in March.
Speaking on Radio TT this morning (29 May), Todd says he was told by professionals it was a 'crazy idea' to try and be ready for the TT despite working hard on his recovery to this point.
Asked on when he could be back on a bike, Todd adds it's looking like 'a minimum of six weeks to go' on the latest medical guidance, but he doesn't want to put too specific a timeline on it yet:
Due to his current injuries, Todd also missed out on the North West 200 in Northern Ireland earlier this month.
