Elsewhere Tom Gandy beat Jason Watterson 2 and 1, Mike Rae defeated George Wild 4 and 3, and Davy Jones overcame Neil Cain 8 and 6.
Completing the line-up are Paul Lowey, who beat Mark Sutton 2 and 1, Jamie R Kneale, who beat Paul McMullen 7 and 5, Herman Loubser (beat Liam Cowin two up) and Gary Wilson (won against Kevin Moore at the 22nd).
It means the quarter final line-up for this afternoon looks like this:
Daniel Bell from Peel will play Tom Gandy of Rowany Golf Club.
At 4.45pm current captain at Rowany Mike Rae takes on Ramsey's Davy Jones.
At 5pm Peel's Paul Lowey will play Jamie R Kneale from Ramsey, and at 5.15pm 12-year-old Herman Loubser from Mount Murray will play eight-time champion Gary Wilson from Douglas.
