Side goes down 5-2 to North Riding
The Isle of Man FA senior men's side have had a disappointing afternoon in Middlesbrough.
They finished 5-2 down against the North Riding League representative side in the quarter-finals of the English FA Inter-League Cup.
The match was played at the ground of Stokesley FC, on the outskirts of the city.
At half time the score stood at 1-1, following a 34th minute equaliser from Frank Jones.
North Riding advanced in the second half, but Mike Williams brought it level once again in the 76th minute.
That was the end of the Manxies' luck - a penalty concession from Sean Quaye (77) and two more goals in quick succession brought what had been a close game to a decisive end.
