
The final of the Standard Bank League Cup will be Peel & St John’s against league champions Cronkbourne.
In yesterday’s (Sunday) semi-final against Castletown, the Saints recovered from 49 for five to reach 181 from their 40 overs.
Neil Jacobs hit 63, Mark Walker made 32 and Ewan Quayle took three for 44.
Castletown lost three quick wickets before staging a revival led by skipper Garreth Roome with 55 and Mark Williams who made 24. Both fell to Dan Hawke and Peel & St John’s wrapped up the innings for 130 – a victory by 51 runs.
The final, which is also the last game of the season, is at Mullen-e-Cloie on Sunday (September 8) with an 11am start.
