Young Manx badminton star Josh Green and his doubles partner lost out to a more experienced pairing in the semi-finals of the Dutch under-19s open at the weekend.
They went down 21-14, 16-21, 21-16 to England's James Lauder & Mark Middleton, who are a year older and a recognised doubles pair.
It was one round further than the newly-crowned English under-19 champion managed in the singles competition, where he lost out to Hong Kong's Lee Chun Hai in the quarter-finals.
