Douglas’ stuttering start to the season continued as they went down 35-25 at home to Orrell.
The hosts did manage to pick up another bonus point, however, by scoring four tries.
Will Latta and Scott Goodall both scored first half tries as Douglas held on to leave the game finely balanced 15-15 at half-time.
In the second half Latta added his second and there was also a try from Tom Chamberlain to add to his first half penalty and conversion. It wasn’t enough to upset Orrell though as they made it two from two.
Also in Division Two, Ramsey slumped to a 50-36 defeat away at Oldershaw.
The Manx side actually led 3-0 at half-time through a Fintan Cummins conversion but in the second half they couldn’t cope with Oldershaw’s big forward pack.
