Douglas kept their promotion challenge on course with a 27-10 home win over close rivals Eagle in EuroManx South Lancashire/Cheshire Division Three.
An early penalty from Bryn Snellgrove gave Douglas the initiative and when Andy Hollis added a try a few minutes later they were well on the way.
A try from flanker Kev Spicer, plus a penalty try, put some daylight between them and the visitors before Hollis bagged his second of the afternoon to make the game safe and maintain Douglas’ four point lead at the top of the table.
