Ramsey edged out in Cheshire South
Two tries, two conversions and two penalties from former Ireland international Simon Mason saw his club side Anselmians grab a bonus point win over Douglas.
It pushed Douglas down to seventh place in South Lancashire/Cheshire Division One.
Anselmians led 14-5 at half-time with Ben Webb’s try keeping Douglas in the hunt.
The Manx side, however, lost prop Rob Todd to injury and Anselmians pushed on in the second half.
A late consolation try from Luke Hyland wasn’t enough to give Douglas even a losing bonus point.
Ramsey were beaten in Cheshire South.
They lost 27-19 away at Congleton and, like Douglas, came away from the match with nothing.
Ramsey retain their 10th position but Congleton closed to within a point with their bonus point win.
Mark Oldfield crossed for two of Ramsey’s tries with Matty Clague picking up their third. Scott Kneale kicked two conversions.
