Douglas went down 15-10 at home to Southport in South Lancashire/Cheshire Division Two.
The visitors led 8-0 at half-time and, despite a second half fightback, Douglas were unable to get back into the game.
The Douglas tries came from Mike Hebden and Andy Hollis but skipper Bryn Snellgrove had an off day with the boot and wasn’t able to add to the tries.
