Douglas stayed top of EuroManx South Lancashire and Cheshire Division Three with their eighth win in nine matches, at Ellesmere Port. The Manx side took the points with a 14-5 victory, thanks to two converted tries.
The match was largely dominated by an extremely strong wind, which saw all the points for both sides scored at the same end of the pitch! Douglas led 14-0 at half-time, with Danny Creer and Bryn Snellgrove the two try scorers. Creer broke off the back of a well driven maul, and Snellgrove's touch down was a solo effort, with a couple of good dummies on the way. Snellgrove converted twice.
The season reaches the halfway stage after the next match, in two week's time.
Vagabonds had an emphatic win in EuroManx South Lancashire and Cheshire Division Three, 55-10 at home to Ruskin Park.
