Ramsey secure eighth in Cheshire South
Douglas’ hopes of a top six finish in South Lancashire/Cheshire Division One were dashed by Manchester who beat them 25-17 on Saturday.
Craig McGee was on target again with a try but Luke Hyland was the star of the show.
He bagged two tries and also added two conversions and a penalty as Douglas finished their 2015/16 campaign in eighth place.
Ramsey beat Trentham 18-15 away in their final Cheshire (South) game and completed a rare double in what has been a challenging season.
The Ramsey hero was young stand-off Scott Kneale who kicked six penalties to give his side their third away win of the season.
Trentham’s losing bonus point means that both teams finish on 47 championship points with Ramsey taking the league position on points difference.
The game marked the 150th league appearance for Ramsey’s John F. Watling.
