Douglas thrashed promotion rivals Trentham 48-0 in what could be the defining moment of their season.
Going into the game, Trentham were lying in second and had conceded only 26 points at home all season.
However, Douglas soon turned that record on its head as they raced into a big lead with tries from Bryn Snellgrove, Ryan Maddox, John Hill and James Creasey.
As the game wore on, they forged further ahead with tries from Andy Hollis (two), Pete Moorhouse and James Stamp
Bryn Snellgrove also kicked two penalties and a conversion.
This result gives Douglas a six point lead at the top of EuroManx South Lancashire/Cheshire Division Three and the chasing pack all have to play each other.
