A last ditch bid saw Michael Dunlop pip Guy Martin by 0.121 of a second for the opening win of the 2011 Southern 100 races.
Martin led for most of the race but Dunlop gradually closed in over the eight lap dash.
Both beat the previous absolute record for the Billown Circuit but Dunlop claims the honour with a speed of 112.324mph.
Dunlop admits the last lap bid for a win was a little scarey (listen to audio file below):
Kaus Klaffenboch and Dan Sayle won the Sidecar race ahead of Simon Neary and Jason Crowe and Ian and Carl Bell, with the top three separated by just a whisker over a second.
There's more racing at Billown this evening (Wednsday), with roads around the course closing at 6.05pm.
