Manx competitor was making debut at 5* event
Isle of Man equestrian competitor Yasmin Ingham debut at the Badminton Horse Trials came to a premature end after withdrawing from the remainder of the competition this morning (11 May).
Saying she's 'absolutely gutted' at having to make the decision, Ingham stated her horse Rehy DJ wasn't '100% this morning' and 'his welfare will always come first.'
After ending the opening day in fourth place, Ingham and Rehy DJ also enjoyed a positive cross-country event registering only 9.6 penalty points to sit 14th in the standings by the end of yesterday (10 May).
This was Ingham's first experience of the 5* meeting which has concluded with Great Britain's Alice Casburn taking victory ahead of fellow British competitor Libby Seed.
Completing the top three was New Zealand's Caroline Powell in third.
