The TT may have finished but the drama didn’t end for the man of the week Michael Dunlop.
As Manx Radio exclusively revealed, the star of the festival had to be rescued from Douglas Bay after a jetski accident on Saturday afternoon.
Dunlop had gone for a trip with one of his sponsors, close friend Martin Marlow, when they lost control off Douglas head and fell into the sea.
The pair were not wearing life jackets and when they failed to return, friends raised the alarm.
The pair, hanging onto the jetski, were rescued around an hour later.
‘We got a serious telling off from the Harbour Police,’ said Mr Marlow.
