Manx rally co-driver Rob Fagg is off to Canada to compete with leading driver Patrick Richard at the opening round of the Canadian Rally Championship on Saturday.
It follows a recommendation from former British Champion Martin Rowe who now lives in Canada.
Rowe and Fagg competed together for two season in the Chinese Rally Championship in 2005 and 2006.
Patrick Richard is a four-time Canadian champion and has won the Rally America title twice.
The rally is 450 kilometres long with many of the stages on snow, ice and gravel.
Heavy snow has fallen in the area over the past month and temperatures for the weekend are forecast to be as low as minus 23C!
