Ravens enter weekend with a win and a draw from last two

FC Isle of Man will be hoping to build some more momentum tomorrow evening (28 October) when they host Congleton Town in the NWCFL Premier Division.

It's been a positive last week for the Manx side who followed up a 4-1 win in the FA Vase last weekend with a huge 2-2 draw to undefeated Wythenshawe Town in the league on Tuesday night (25 October).

But they will be wary of the danger Congleton Town pose after 'The Bears' inflicted a resounding 5-1 defeat on the Island outfit at The Cleric Stadium back on 27 August.

FC Isle of Man Manager, Chris Bass, says the mood in the camp is in a very good place currently and hopes his side can continue pushing for more good results going forward:

Before the last seven days, FC Isle of Man had suffered three narrow defeats in league contests.

They currently sit 17th in the league standings on 14 points from 16 games.

The last week has also seen some of the Manx squad's key players reach milestones for the club.

Both Luke Murray and Jack McVey have now managed 50 competitive appearances for the Ravens.

Murray is among those enjoying a good spell in front of goal recently for FC Isle of Man, having netted five times in his last six matches in all competitions.

Meanwhile, remain on a strong run of form with four wins from their last six.

They sit 8th in the table and eleven points better of the than the Ravens having played a game less.

The Cheshire outfit are also finding the back of the net through several different areas, with eight different scorers across their last ten scored.

FC Isle of Man vs Congleton Town takes place at The Bowl this Saturday (29 October), kicking-off at 6pm.

Manx Radio will be providing full live match commentary on our AM1368 and Digital platforms.
