Ravens targeting third straight win and six unbeaten tonight (18 Sept)

FC Isle of Man are back on their travels tonight hunting a third straight league victory.

An in-form Ravens' side take on South Liverpool this evening (18 September) with Paul Jones' team currently on a five-match unbeaten streak.

Their hosts meanwhile - after promotion to the NWCFL Premier Division last season - have had a tough start to life at this level, winning just one of their eleven league games so far.

However, Mr Jones is warning that the poor form of their opposition is no excuse for complacency:

FC Isle of Man's current good run has seen them amass three wins and two draws from their last five outings, seeing them rise up to 11th in the league table heading into tonight's contest.

What's more, the Island side could go as high as eighth if they win tonight in what will be the first ever meeting between the two sides.

Meanwhile, it's been a difficult start to life in the NWCFL Premier Division so far for South Liverpool following their promotion from the NWCFL Division One North the previous campaign.

With just one win from their eleven league encounters so far, they sit 22nd out of the 24 sides in the table on six points, only ahead of Colne in 23rd on goal difference.

Martin Ryman's side are also the lowest scorers in the division so far having only netted four times.

South Liverpool vs FC Isle of Man takes place tonight at Jericho Lane with kick-off at 7.45pm.
