FC Isle of Man hold Radcliffe to draw

Sides share spoils in The Ravens' final pre-season fixture

FC Isle of Man have ended their pre-season preparations on a positive note after holding National League North side Radcliffe FC to a 3-3 draw at The Bowl yesterday afternoon (21 July).

In what was the final game of the inaugural FC Isle of Man Summer Festival of Football, the Manx side led 2-0 at half-time courtesy of strikes from Luke Murray and Charlie Higgins.

The visitors then struck back shortly after the restart with two goals in six minutes from Luca Navarro and Jake Thompson before taking the lead in the 64th minute through Evan Bange's close-range finish.

The Island hosts then grabbed a late equaliser as Adam Adebiyi converted a well-placed effort from a tight angle after a slaloming run in the 84th minute.

For FC Isle of Man it means they finish the weekend tournament with a draw and a loss from their two games after suffering a 5-2 defeat at the hands of Chester FC - also of the National League North - last Friday (19 June).

The four-game event held from 19-21 July also marked the final match time for FC Isle of Man before they begin their 2024/25 NWCFL Premier Division season at home against Chadderton this coming Saturday (27 July).
