They welcome Burscough to The Bowl hunting a sixth straight victory

FC Isle of Man have the chance to match their best ever league winning streak as they return home once more in the NWCFL Premier Division this weekend.

Targeting a sixth straight victory, 'The Ravens' take on Burscough tomorrow hoping to further cement their current place in the promotion play-off spots.

There hasn't been a shortage of goalmouth action between the two sides so far with 27 goals scored between them over just four meetings so far.

Despite the 18-point gap between the Manx side in fifth and their opponents in 18th, FC Isle of Man Manager Paul Jones says their visitors are capable of beating anybody in this league on their day:

Only twice before have the Island side managed a winning run of six consecutive outings, the first of which was from 3 January to 5 February 2022 under former boss Chris Bass.

Paul Jones equaled that across the final five matches of the 22/23 campaign followed by an opening day win in 23/24.

Whatever happens at The Bowl on Saturday night FC Isle of Man will not drop lower than their current position of fifth in the table with nearest challengers West Didsbury & Chorlton currently four points back but with two games in hand.

Maximum points, however, could propel FC Isle of Man as high as third should Chadderton in third lose and Lower Breck in fourth fail to win in their respective matches.

After a challenging last two seasons in the division, Burscough sit 18th out of the 24 sides in the league but are currently well clear of any relegation scrap, 14 points above the relegation zone.

David Dempsey's side are seeking an upturn in form having failed to win in their last seven matches, taking one point from a possible 21 available.

However, they have previous experience of victory at The Bowl - on 2 January 2023 two second-half stoppage time strikes saw them produce a stunning late comeback to win 4-3.
