Dixon describes first-half as 'men vs boys' following resounding defeat
It was a night to forget for FC Isle of Man as they went down 4-0 away to Bury AFC in the NWCFL Premier Division on Tuesday evening (13 September).
The Ravens found themselves 3-0 down at half-time courtesy of a double from Lewis Gilboy and a close-range finish from Manxman Niall Cummins as FC IoM struggled to cope with relentless pressure from the home side.
Despite a noticeable improvement from the Manx team in the second-half, Bury grabbed a fourth goal with eight minutes remaining through a well-taken diving header by Anton Smith from a set piece.
Speaking to FC IoM's official website, Ravens' Assistant Manager, Lee Dixon, gave a scathing assessment of his side's performance at full-time:
FC Isle of Man now sit 14th out of 22 teams in the NWCFL Premier Division with ten points on the board.
The Ravens next game will be against Prestwich Heys at The Bowl this Saturday (17 September) at 6pm.
