FA Leagues Committee announces initial allocations for 25/26 season
FC Isle of Man have been provisionally confirmed as remaining in the North West Counties Football League (NWCFL) Premier Division system for the 2025/26 season.
The news announced today (15 May) by NWCFL officials comes following confirmation of league allocations by the FA Leagues committee for the next campaign.
For the third season running, the NWCFL Premier Division is also expected to be a 24-team division with two teams promoted and two relegated into the league.
All allocations remain subject to appeals and the constitution will be ratified at the NWCFL's league AGM on 21 June this year.
The 2024/25 NWCFL Premier Division season saw Bury and Lower Breck promoted into Step 4 of the English non-league structure whilst both Colne and Squires Gate were relegated into Step 6.
As it stands, dropping down into the league are two sides from the Northern Premier League (NPL) Division One West - City of Liverpool and Wythenshawe FC.
Meanwhile, NWCFL Division 1 North champions Atherton Laburnum Rovers and play-off winners Euxton Villa move up into the system.
Elsewhere, NWCFL Division 1 South champions Winsford United and that league's play-off winners Abbey Hulton United have been moved laterally into the Midland Football League Premier Division.
