Ravens return to league action with a bang on Merseyside
FC Isle of Man have made it three straight wins in all competitions after sweeping to a convincing 4-1 victory at Litherland REMYCA in the NWCFL Premier Division this afternoon (3 October).
During a dominant first half, Dean Pinnington opened the scoring for the Island side on 15 minutes before a Litherland own goal doubled 'The Ravens'' advantage on the half-hour mark.
Jason Chalmer added a third for the Manx side eight minutes before the break which was followed by a fourth in the second half from Freddie O'Donoghue with ten minutes of the contest to go.
The home side grabbed a 90th minute consolation through Jordan Lorde but it wouldn't stop FC Isle of Man securing all three points to move to within one point of the top-five in the division.
Speaking to Manx Radio at full-time, FC Isle of Man Manager, Lee Dixon says he was happy with many aspects of his side's performance, but that there were areas they can still improve on
FC Isle of Man's next match will be at home against South Liverpool in the NWCFL Premier Division at The Bowl in Douglas on Saturday, 10 October, kicking-off at 6pm.
