But Ravens yet to beat latest opponents in last three meetings

FC Isle of Man will be targeting a third straight win for just the second time this season when they travel to Prestwich Heys in the NWCFL Premier Division tomorrow afternoon (10 February).

Along with back-to-back wins against Irlam and Skelmersdale United in their last two outings, the Manx side also secured two clean sheets in a row for the first time since October.

However, they come up against a Prestwich Heys side who are 14 points clear of the Ravens in the promotion play-offs and have beaten the Island side in all three occasions they've met so far.

But FC Isle of Man Manager, Paul Jones thinks his players often relish the underdog tag and his side's most recent performances have been helping lift spirits further:

The aggregate scoreline across the four games between the two sides sees Prestwich Heys ahead 6-0 with FC Isle of Man having failed to score in any of their meetings to date.

But an incentive for FC Isle of Man might be that if against the odds they were to take victory on their travels they could rise back into the top half of the table from their current position on 13 points.

What's more, Paul Jones' side's recent defensive form has seen them prove a tougher unit to break down - they've conceded once in their last three compared to nine in the previous fixtures prior to that.

Elsewhere, Prestwich Heys have remained an imperious force in the division since the sides last met in September 2023.

The Lancashire hosts currently occupy the final promotion play-off spot in fifth and could go to within a point of fourth-placed Chadderton should they take maximum points.

Prestwich Heys vs FC Isle of Man will take place at Adie Moran Park this Saturday, 10 February, kicking-off at 2pm.
