MotoGP star Cal Crutchlow finished fifth after another race-long battle with his team-mate Andrea Dovizioso in the Red Bull US Grand Prix at Laguna Seca yesterday.
The Ramsey resident eventually finished just 0.177 seconds behind Dovizioso.
Speaking afterwards, he said, "I'm pretty happy with another solid finish inside the top five and that is a big improvement on last year where I struggled a lot at this track."
The Monster Energy Tech 3 Yamaha pair are also enjoying a good tussle in the MotoGP World Championship standings.
Fourth placed Dovizioso is just 15 points in front of Crutchlow after ten rounds.
