Preparations for Rally Isle of Man are stepping up, with the event scheduled for a new slot in October.
It normally takes place in July or August but the organisers have decided to recreate it as an autumn highlight.
The rally is approaching its half-century, with the 2011 event the 48th in the series, and this year it will run from October 27 to 29.
The new slot will see the rally regain its position as the final and deciding round of both the Dulux Trade British Rally Championship and the Dunlop British Historic Rally Championship.
The rally guide is due to be published in the next few weeks and entries will open soon after that.
Other key announcements are due to be made in connection with the event, which will mark the silver jubilee of the Isle of Man Historic Rally.
