Ramsey beaten at Aspull
Douglas lost for the first time this season in South Lancashire/Cheshire Division One, going down 31-24 away at Widnes.
In a game of two halves, Douglas trailed 17-0 at the break before fighting back in the second half to claim a losing bonus point.
Ironically, their lead at the top of the standings increased to six points when second placed Liverpool St Helens also lost but failed to get a bonus point.
Akkie van den Berg, Chris Bollen and Carl Markl-Ferns all picked up tries for Douglas with Luke Hyland adding three penalties.
Marple has never been a happy hunting ground for Manx sides and that run continued when Vagabonds lost 15-10 in Division Two.
Tom Gascoyne and Callum Donnell both went in for tries for Vagas who had the consolation of a losing bonus point.
In Division Three, Ramsey came away empty handed from their first trip to Aspull.
They went down 53-14 to the leaders.
A well-drilled Aspull side racked up a 34-0 lead by half-time.
Ramsey struck back in the second half with a penalty try and another try from youngster Johnny Mason, both converted by Dan Bonwick.
