Junior Cup final beckons this weekend (Fixtures: 17-18 May)

Ayre United could be crowned Canada Life Men's Premier League champions this evening (17 May) if they avoid defeat in their final league fixture.

The northerners take on St Mary's tonight knowing a draw or a win will see them leapfrog current leaders and defending champions Peel into top spot.

Alternatively, defeat for Ayre would see the title head to Peel whilst also potentially seeing St Mary's move up to third should they take victory by three or more goals.

Elsewhere on Friday evening DPS Ltd. Division 2 runners-up Onchan travel to in-form Douglas High School Old Boys (Dhsob.) in a tie which marks the end of the league season for both sides.

Onchan's promotion from the second tier is already confirmed whilst both will also be in the hat for this year's Paul Henry Gold Cup competition.

Both of tonight's games are due to get underway at 6.30pm.

Meanwhile, Saturday sees the final showdown for this year's Ascot Hotel Junior Cup competition.

It'll see the top two sides this season in Canada Life Combination One - Ramsey and Rushen United - face off at The Bowl tomorrow at 2pm.

Ramsey were crowned champions of the division in late April, snatching the silverware from Rushen who took top spot in the last campaign with a perfect record winning all 22 games.
