Castletown extend lead at summit of Division 2

Corinthians extended their lead at the top of the Canada Life Men's Premier League with a 3-1 win over Onchan during the latest Isle of Man football fixtures.

By handing Onchan their first loss of the season, Corinthians moved three points clear at the summit with their nearest challengers, Laxey seeing their game away at Union Mills postponed.

Meanwhile, fourth-placed Rushen United - who went into last weekend one point off top spot - also had their match against St John's United called off as one of several games that didn't take place due to poor weather.

Elsewhere, Castletown stretched their advantage at the top of Ardern & Druggan Ltd. Division 2 to four points with a convincing 5-0 home win over St George's.

The only other game to take place in the second tier was between Ramsey Youth Centre & Old Boys (Rycob.) and Douglas Royal with the northern hosts sweeping to a commanding 5-1 victory.

On Sunday (5 October), Corinthians moved to the top of the Canada Life Women's League with a 7-0 win at home to Rushen United.

Douglas Royal - who conceded their match this weekend to Onchan - drop to second whilst Malew moved up to fourth with a resounding 14-0 win away at Union Mills.
