Marown and Ramsey Youth Centre & Old Boys into Woods Cup final
A Dan Simpson strike deep into second-half stoppage time saw Corinthians beat rivals Peel to reach this year's Ecap FA Cup final during yesterday's latest Isle of Man football fixtures.
During a thriller at Ballafletcher in the last-four clash between the current top two sides in men's Manx football, Simpson slotted home in the 95th minute to send his side to the final in a few weeks' time.
One rearranged quarter-final clash in the competition also took place on Saturday with Rushen United claiming a 2-0 victory at Onchan to set up a showdown with St Mary's.
The other cup tournament in action yesterday was the semi-finals of the GH Corlett Woods Cup with Marown and Ramsey Youth Centre & Old Boys (Rycob.) progressing to the final with successes over Malew and Douglas Royal respectively.
Elsewhere and during Saturday's league matches, an 11-goal bonanza saw Union Mills beat Braddan in the Canada Life Men's Premier League whilst Colby extended their lead at the summit of Ardern & Druggan Ltd. Division 2 to ten points with a 2-0 home win over St George's.
