Football: Division 2 top-four to all face each other this weekend

Braddan host Michael whilst Colby go to 'Old Boys' (Fixtures: 26 Oct)

A potentially poignant weekend awaits in the latest Isle of Man football fixtures which see the top four sides in Ardern & Druggan Ltd. Division 2 face off against each other.

Colby - top of the pile on 18 points after seven games - travel to Douglas High School Old Boys (Dhsob.) who're two points back in third but with a game in hand.

Meanwhile second-placed Braddan - also on 16 points but ahead of 'Old Boys' on goal difference - are at home to Michael United who are a further two points back in fourth but could go as a high as second with a win depending on results elsewhere.

Meanwhile, in the Canada Life Men's Premier League the battles are intensifying not just for supremacy at the top but for a chance to get into contention to qualify for this year's Plum Properties Railway Cup.

Peel in second on 19 points face a potentially tough home test against in-form Foxdale sitting in fourth who could leapfrog the westerners if they take maximum points at Douglas Road.

Current premier league leaders Ayre United - who're three points clear of Peel at the summit - host St Mary's whilst two current Railway Cup contenders meet as third-placed Corinthians welcome Union Mills.

All of Saturday's fixtures are due to kick-off at 2.30pm with the exception of St Mary's vs Ayre United in Canada Life Combination One which starts at the earlier time of 1.45pm.

There are no fixtures due to take place on Sunday (27 October) due to the half-term break.
