Football: Early Division 2 contenders meet each other this weekend

Trio of premier league sides have chance to continue flawless starts

Four of the sides in the early running at the top of Ardern & Druggan Ltd. Division 2 meet across two key clashes in Manx football this weekend.

Among the senior men's ties taking place tomorrow (12 September), Division 2 leaders, Castletown head to Pulrose United whilst second-placed Malew are on the road at Marown.

Elsewhere, in the Canada Life Men's Premier League, three teams will be hoping to keep up their respective perfect starts to the campaign.

Peel and Corinthians - both of whom have three wins from their first three outings - face off against Onchan and Laxey respectively whilst St John's United - currently two victories from two - host Braddan.

The other team with a 100 per cent record so far in the top flight, Union Mills, are without a game this weekend.

Meanwhile, Sunday (13 September) features gameweek two of the latest Canada Life Women's League season with three matches penned in.

There's a landmark game for Douglas & District who will play their first ever game in women's football on Island when they host Douglas Royal.

Outside of that, Rushen United will be at home to Peel and Corinthians will welcome Union Mills.
