Football: Early premier league bottom two to meet this weekend

Several with chance to close down Castletown in Division 2

Two winless sides occupying the bottom two places in the early stages of the Canada Life Men's Premier League season meet as part of this weekend's Isle of Man football fixtures.

Ramsey Youth Centre & Old Boys in 12th and Laxey in 11th will face off during Saturday's fixtures with both still aiming for a first win of the campaign.

At the opposite end of the standings, Corinthians lead the way with four wins from four ahead of a home encounter against Onchan who beat defending champions, Peel last time out.

The only other side with a 100 per cent start in the top flight, Union Mills, return to action after a rest week when they welcome Rushen United.

Meanwhile, in Ardern & Druggan Ltd. Division 2, several teams have the chance to close the gap to leaders, Castletown who are without a match tomorrow.

Fellow southerners, Malew could go to within one point of the top side if they beat Pulrose United whilst Michael United - who are five points off Castletown but with a game in hand - will be targeting points away at Gymns.

Elsewhere, on Sunday (20 September), another trio of fixtures are penned in across the Canada Life Women's League as well as the opening two matches of the 2026/27 Masters league season.
