Laxey and Corinthians among big winners in Monday fixtures
Eight teams now remain in this year's Cowell Cup competition following the first round proper of the 2026 event for Under-21 teams last night (11 May).
During Monday's contests, Corinthians and Laxey were the the biggest winners with both claiming 9-1 victories over Castletown and Douglas & District respectively.
Another putting a convincing win on the board was Braddan who emerged 6-1 victors over Michael United whilst Ramsey Youth Centre & Old Boys (Rycob.) earned a narrow 2-1 success at home to Peel.
Meanwhile, Onchan did enough to gain a 1-0 win at Rushen United and Ramsey were winners over Douglas High School Old Boys (DHSOB.)
Elsewhere, two teams - Foxdale and Governors Athletic - had already progressed to the quarter-final stage having received first-round byes.
The 2026 Cowell Cup quarter-finals will take place this Thursday (14 May).
Football action resumes tonight (12 May) with four clashes in Ardern & Druggan Ltd. Division 2, kicking-off at 6.30pm.
The one Canada Life Men's Premier League game which had been due to take place tonight between Ramsey and Rushen United has been awarded as a home walkover to Ramsey as Rushen United are unable to field a team.
