Teare nets hat-trick as Island Games edge closer
The Isle of Man women's football team made a strong statement ahead of the 2025 Island Games with an 8-0 friendly win over Kendal Town ladies at the weekend (14 June).
Star of the show in front of goal for the Manx side was Chloe Teare who managed a hat-trick.
Meanwhile, all of the other five goals came through different players with Rosabel Cardy, Holly Sumner, Tia Lisy, Rebecca Cole and Lydia Shaw getting on the scoresheet.
Last Saturday's contest is expected to be one of the final pieces of preparation Wayne Lisy's team will have had ahead of this summer's Island Games in Orkney from 12-18 July.
The Isle of Man's group stage matches for that tournament were confirmed earlier this month with the female squad set to take on hosts Orkney as well as Hitra and Frøya.
Furthermore, the Isle of Man women's team will be hoping to build on winning the bronze medal at the previous games in Guernsey in 2023.
