Association adds 12 future referees joining development initiative
The Isle of Man Football Association (IOMFA) has confirmed the appointment of a new individual to spearhead recruitment and retention of match officials on Island.
The organisation has confirmed Liam Thomas as its new Referee Development Officer, filling the role vacated by predecessor Paul Hodskinson in the summer.
Announcing the update, the FA believes Mr Thomas will 'bring his energy and fresh ideas to support our current registered referees and to attract new talent into the profession.'
Separately the association adds it's launching a new collaboration with University College Isle of Man (UCM) which will see 12 future referees joining its referee development course.
Elsewhere, the IOMFA remains on the lookout for a new Women & Girls Development Officer to boost the female game on Manx shores with the deadline for applications for that role on Thursday, 31 October.
