Football: Railway Cup hopefuls Foxdale & Corinthians to meet

Women's Floodlit Cup gets underway on Sunday (Fixtures: 2-3 Nov)

Two Railway Cup hopefuls meet in a potentially poignant Canada Life Men's Premier League contest among the latest upcoming weekend fixtures in Manx football.

Fourth-placed Corinthians travel to Foxdale who sit fifth with both teams on 18 points but with the former of the two ahead on goal difference as the race for top-four places heats up.

Elsewhere it looks like a mismatch on paper at Memorial Playing Fields as bottom-of-the-table Marown - still yet to register any points this season - welcome undefeated current league leaders Ayre United.

In Division 2 Braddan and Douglas High School Old Boys (Dhsob.) occupy the top two spots in the standings going into this weekend with both on 19 points but Braddan ahead on goal difference.

Both are on the road with Braddan visiting Castletown and 'Old Boys' away at Ramsey Youth Centre & Old Boys (Rycob.).

All of Saturday's matches will now begin at the slightly earlier time of 2pm with the exception of St Mary's vs St George's in the premier league which gets underway earlier than that at 1.45pm.

Meanwhile, Sunday sees the start of the latest Women's Floodlit Cup competition which this season is operating in a seven-a-side format.

The opening round sees five matches at The Bowl in Douglas - at 2.10pm is Laxey vs Union Mills and Onchan B vs Union Mills B followed by Corinthians vs Douglas Royal and Peel vs Malew A at 3pm.

Rounding things off at 5pm will Onchan A vs Castletown
