Football: St John's and Rushen to meet for Junior Cup final

Peel to receive premier league trophy this weekend

St John's United and Rushen United will battle it in the 2025 Ascot Hotel Junior Cup final this weekend in the headline clash for this weekend's Isle of Man football ties.

The combination sides of both clubs will do battle at The Bowl in Douglas tomorrow (10 May) with kick-off scheduled for 5.30pm.

In the league, Rushen United finished as nearest challengers to Canada Life Combination One champions Ramsey with a haul of 52 points - 13 more than their opponents this weekend managed in the league.

However, St John's United come into this weekend's meeting having taken some notable scalps in this year's Junior Cup journey including knocking out defending champions Ramsey in the quarter-final stage.

The only other fixture due to take place on Saturday comes in the Canada Life Men's Premier League as Foxdale take on premier league champions Peel in the west of the Island.

This will be Peel's final match of the campaign after which they'll be presented with the premier league trophy whilst this will be Foxdale's penultimate league outing with two still to play.

On Sunday the focus is on the semi-finals of the Masters FA Cup as Onchan are due to take on Ayre United.
