It's one of 'a number of key changes to the club's structure'
Douglas High School Old Boys (DHSOB.) has confirmed the appointment of veteran player Robbie Ward as the club's new first-team manager.
In a statement following the club's AGM last night (21 June), it was announced he'll replace the outgoing Karl Gartland as part of 'a number of key changes to the clubs structure.'
Furthermore, DHSOB says Gartland had already informed them of his decision to step down as manager prior to this week's meeting.
In the first team, Ward will be assisted by Chris Coxon whilst Matthew Haddock and former club captain Ste Clarke will now take charge of the combination squad.
The DHSOB first XI secured their place in the Canada Life Men's Premier League for 2025/26 after finishing second in Ardern & Druggan Ltd. Division 2 in the most recent campaign.
Elsewhere, the combi team ended the season fifth in Ardern & Druggan Ltd. Combination Two.
