Success story for disability side
There were big successes for Manx disabled sportsmen in Iceland yesterday.
The FA's Disability Football side enjoyed three wins and two draws in a tense international tournament held in Keflavik.
Some decisive games, and plenty of goals, secured the Island side a gold medal overall, staving off competition from local Icelandic teams and the Faroe Islands squad.
Putting away eleven in five games made Tom Hall a standout player - while David Hudson was voted the tournament's best goalkeeper.
FA Chief Frank Stennett said 'the lads have been an absolute pleasure to be with'.
The team will next travel to Jersey for the Gareth Cowin Memorial Tournament in November.
