It was a frustrating day for Manxman Mark Cavendish on the 13th stage of the Tour de France on Saturday.
The Team Sky rider lost more than one minute to the leaders on the climb, ending his hopes of contesting the sprint finish.
Cavendish remains 150th overall and fourth in the sprinter green jersey standings as German Andre Greipel outsprinted Peter Sagan to win the stage.
Team Sky team-mate Bradley Wiggins remains the overall leader.
Sunday’s stage will see the riders head into the Pyrenees for a 191km race from Limoux to Foix.
