
Seven athletes are in with a shout for two prizes in the 2010 Sports Awards nominations.
They are cyclists Mark Cavendish and Mark Christian, shooter Tim Kneale, enduro champion David Knight, archer Aalin George, golfer Emma Harris and athlete Harriet Pryke.
The winners will be announced at a gala evening at the Villa Marina on Thursday, April 14 when World and European Champion Beth Tweddle will be the guest of honour.
Delhi Commonwealth Games team athletes and officials are very much to the fore.
Bronze medal winners Mark Christian and Tim Kneale are two of 10 athletes in the nominations who competed for Team Isle of Man in Delhi last October.
The team as a whole is also named along with cycling manager Gary Hinds.
In the coach section, Mike Doyle and Gennady Tsyganow from swimming are included.
And team manager Trevor Taubman and Chef de Mission Tonia Lushington are also recognised.
