First round complete at South African Open
Isle of Man Golf professional Tom Gandy has completed his first round at a European Tour event.
He finished one-over-par at the South African Open at Johannesburg.
The Rowany player had two birdies but lost shots at three holes.
Gandy was playing what is regarded as the hardest of the two courses being used over the opening two rounds.
He played Firethorn today which is reported as "very narrow" compared to the Bushwillow course he will tackle tomorrow.
The tournament is led by Johannes Veerman who is nine-under-par after a round of 62 at Bushwillow.
