Geordies go 8 points clear

St. George's are now eight points clear of Peel at the top of the Sure Mobile Premier League.

The Champions won 3-0 away at Laxey to increase the gap. All the damage was done in the first half with Conor Doyle, Julian Ringham and Chris Bass on target.

Both St. George's and Peel have five games left - Peel entertain Corinthians at home this evening. (Weds)

In Tuesday night's other top flight clash, Frank Jones struck a second half winner to give St. Mary's a narrow victory over Gymns.

And in Combination One, Peel are just one win away from the silverware after a thumping 6-1 win away to St. Mary's.
